At the Glasgow Gaelic school a very special evening was organised, An evening of fun and entertainment to raise funds for a very serious and tragic reason, to give wee Calum Morrison the very best life experiences for the remaining months he has amongst us. The whole evening was conducted in both Gaelic and Scottish language and under the Banner ?Two languages, Two cultures, Many opportunities? the evening got underway.
The incredible Strathclyde police pipe band opened the event, treating us all to expert pipes and drums, John Carmichael with his accordion got everyone on the dance floor (after a little coaxing) for the Ceilidh?s favourites: Gay Gordon, Dashing white sergeant and many more?In between the Acts, a great raffle was conducted, S.T.V generously donated a mountain of prizes with D.V.D box set and bottles of fine Malt in every bag which made sure there was plenty of delighted winners. I myself was initiated in a back to front game of Bingo without a big pen marker in sight.
