ABERDEEN TARTAN DAY 2006

| We probably had the best day of the year for the Aberdeen Tartan Day celebrations this year.Why does it take place in August ? well if you held it in April in Aberdeen the public might freeze. Once we got our area established a crowd soon gathered and Albannach kicked off with the music, soon they were about 10 deep in the middle of Union St .From tourists to locals they really appreciated what they were seeing and hearing. Cran Tara went on next and thankfully most of the crowd hung about. Our 2 Picts from Perth put on a great display of fighting which was followed by a talk through the history of Scotland. Bruce ,Wallace and even Johnny Cope got a mention.We then got our usual rush of volunteers to be dirked. It turned out to be a great day and the feedback we received from the organisers was very positive. The start of great things for Crann Tara. |
